BURTON - SOHO
Burton Snowboards in SOHO is located at 69 Greene Street in a historical building in an eclectic neighborhood with cobblestone streets and fire escapes.
This old New York charm is brought into the store design where tile floors, wrought iron columns, and original plaster surfaces are highlighted. Clean and open displays mixed with natural woods and metal as well as vintage elements bring the store to life. Installations such as the Living Mountain along the stairwell, a camp zone and the vintage bar exist throughout bringing vibrance to the space.
Flexibility is key to the project which hosts special events and collaborations with artist such as Jeff Koons and Phil Frost. The project was done in collaboration with local architecture firm Tobin Parnes Design.
